SHORT FILMS + FEATURE FILMS

FIVE FILM FRIDAYS by Create The Writers Room is a curated platform for independent filmmakers whose work deserves to be experienced beyond the festival circuit.

Every Film selection is programmed to screen before an audience of industry peers, studio executives, producers, and creative decision-makers, placing filmmakers and their work in the room where careers are built.

Reported by VARIETY, through CTWR's partnership with ROKU, selected films may earn distribution on The Roku Channel, reaching more than 100 million viewers.

This is where bold filmmaking is championed, meaningful industry relationships begin, and the journey from independent cinema to global
audiences take shape.

BUILDING THE PIPELINE

The talent exists. The stories exist. But access, resources, and opportunity don't always follow. That's the gap we're working to close.

At Create The Writers Room, we're building the pipeline that connects emerging voices to opportunity, amplifies original stories, and creates a more inclusive future for storytelling. But we can't build it alone. It takes all of us.

Consider donating today to help us to continue laying the groundwork for the next generation of storytellers and ensure their stories have a path to the screen.

PROGRAMMING

Our programming gathers exceptional independent films, incisive conversations, industry panels, and intentional networking into a single, immersive evening designed for filmmakers and the people who champion their work.

Each element is curated to spark real dialogue, honor bold storytelling, and place emerging voices in direct proximity to established industry leaders shaping what comes next. More than a screening, it’s a creative room where collaborations begin, projects find momentum, and the right introductions happen at the right time.

Whether you come to discover new work, deepen your creative circle, or stand at the center of where independent cinema is moving, FIVE FILM FRIDAYS is where the industry meets what’s next.
